Veritas Organ Company, Inc.
Veritas Organ Company was founded to advance the art of electronic
organ building to a new level, a level where uncompromising quality
standards are applied to both the musical and mechanical aspects of
the instrument. While many electronic organ technologies succeed in
producing convincing individual notes based on recordings of organ pipes,
none really accomplish the all important task of creating a truly musical
and convincing ensemble. Veritas organs succeed where others fail, producing
an instrument that is not only convincing but thoroughly musical and
enjoyable to play, an inspiration rather than a chore.
Say
no to mediocrity
President’s Statement
It is truly encouraging
to see that there are still enough churches with sufficient funding
and sense of purpose to keep the best pipe organ builders in full time
work. However, it is depressing to find that, when such funding is not
available, and the purchasing decision has to be to “go electronic,”
there seems to be a major shift in qualitative judgment. Very recently,
I heard that the chairman of a church organ committee was recommending
the purchase of a particular product because “I like the look
of their marketing”!!??
To develop, attract or retain
an inspirational organist requires an inspirational organ, and if this
kind of decision making continues to be the norm then mediocrity will
prevail and in a remarkably short time we will find the current decline
of standards in church music will have gone so far as to be irreversible.
Practicing should be a joy, not a chore. The Veritas Organ Company was
founded to provide inspirational instruments to those that care, whether
in churches, academic institutions or civic buildings. A Veritas organ
sings, as any fine musical instrument should! “Those who have
ears to hear, let them hear.”
Our mission is to raise
electronic organ building to an art form, and the endorsements we have
received attest that we have made a powerful beginning. Most electronic
organs available today are bland, boring and have no real ensemble above
mezzo-forte. The mixtures, so very important, are badly structured and
often monophonic, chorus reeds are generally unpleasant and the tutti
is hard and lifeless - plenty of brutish power but no vibrant glory.
The technology is available to do better, but the skill and will to
do so seems to be cast aside in favor of commercial interest.
Not so with Veritas. Anyone
who has talked with us and played or heard our instruments knows our
passion and skill in matters of effective chorus structure, tonal design
and console design. We gain much knowledge from the ancients but also
have our own philosophy on how to achieve truly eclectic instruments
without resorting to vast stop lists. We do not have an international
sales machine or slick marketing, just a sincere belief that a Veritas
organ will rejuvenate your music program. If you have “ears to
hear” and care about the things we care about so strongly, contact
one of our representatives to arrange a visit to a Veritas installation
or to request a CD.
